Difference between a heavy cold and Flu is

    If you have Flu you cant be arsed to

    If you have flu you don't even see them drop the note as you can't get out of bed - except to struggle to the bathroom.

    I missed last night cause of

    a heavy cold, went to the doctor this am who said i was recovering from influenza, but couldnt give me anything to help, said carry on taking parecetomol (?),
    if it had been flu i wouldnt have been able to go to work

    RE: I missed last night cause of

    Probably only had flu once - as I was living alone I had to get to the chemist on next street for some aspirin, the look on the assistant's face said it all really and then she told me I shouldn't be out and should be in bed!

    better offer than i got yesterday

    i went into our Lancaster office to be greeted by, bloody hell, you look awful,
    waste of a days hols, missed the match and lasted less than an hour on my xmas shopping trip
