Just looking at the size and spending power of teams joining us next season. Derby and possibly Birmingham and Reading with fat wads of parachute money coupled with Swansea, Forest and possibly Leeds, the championship is going to be more of a mini premiership than ever.

What are everyones expectations for next season. I think we could be in for a rough ride.

I think we will do better than this season

Safe with 5 or 6 matches to spare

Wont be surprised if Derby Struggle
    Expect Forest to struggle
Unless Leeds come up I think the 3rd side promoted will struggle
Blackpool will go down with at least one of the promoted teams. Anyones guess for the 3rd spot - but not all of Fowls, Coventry, Southampton will be comfortable next season - especially not Southampton

We have the basis of a good championship side - just light up front - fix that and even the playoffs not a stupid idea.

Thing with us is we have too many teams that we never beat. Thankfully we lost one of them today in Leicester but still too many points that you can write off even before a ball is kicked.

I hope your right mate. I hope we add wisely to the squad but we will always need to be lucky with injuries because no really good players are going to come to Oakwell to be sat on the bench.

I think we have a great chance of getting the right sort of player next season - our profile is so much higher as a result of the cup run and Mr Cryne has shown that he's not averse to spending a few quid when it's called for.

    I agree. but

We got the right type of players in last season with the exception of some of our strikers but the key ones got injured and thats where we struggled.

It ok having a good team but its having the strength in depth that might be a problem.

Yes there are some big City clubs in the championship next season, and i agree with you it is going to be very difficult, but if we can get rid of the (away, lets give em the points attitude) then we may have a chance. Something needs to change drastically away from home, lets bring in more British players with steel and quality, and forget the overseas players. When we get a fit and full squad and 3or 4 more quality players, then we could do even better than this season. But it's going to be hard.

Personally i reckon we'll be pushing for the play off positions next season. With the players coming back from injury itll be like new signings (De Silva, Muller) and with a proven striker well be a quality team.

QPR are my tip for championship title next season, reading 2nd, then us in the play offs (fingers crossed)

    UUUUUUU RRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!
