Keith Hill, only last week, said (something like this)........these young players in the academy are not good enough to play in the 1st team, they want bringing on steady, it was a mistake to play Lasarus in the 1st team at such a young age, it can undermine the development of young players being thrown in at the deep end.

Lo and behold............a week later and we have 3 of these youngsters on the bench and two of them brought on during a match against one of the top teams in the division.
    Digby is only 16.

Barnsley are a Championship side, they shouldn't be scrapeing the barrell to get players available for a 1st team match.
It just shows how weak in number and quality the Barnsley squad is.
If we need some more players............then FFS PC and Hill lets have some more players in !!!
Even if they are only loanees

I reckon most clubs would have kids in the side if they had as many out injured as us.

We have a whole team out

How big a squad do you think we should have we have 12 out injured you cant really plan a squad of 30 experienced players

    Well said.
Here Nudge, this is our squad, with the injured/unavailable players as of last nite in CAPITALS, and (a) denotes the players involved in the Academy league this year, and a * next to a player denotes loanees in or out...

Nathan Doyle according to some sources is fully fit and available. But then why would he not be involved??
But having done and read that list, it just shows how damn unlucky we have been so far. You just cant legislate for injuries like that. And why would Hillcroft get 2 or 3 loanees in when after Coventry on saturday, we have 2 week to get a handful, if not most of the lads back fit??
Just imagine when we get them all back though, theyl be like new signings.
And Keith admitted after the game last nite that the kids still arent ready. But what choice does he have? The only loan I would like to see is a backup GK in case Superman is next to get crocked. Because he kept us in it last nite. Which says a lot because he's had little to do this month.

Agree absolutely. How Nudger could come up with such tripe defies comprehension.

Or you could say that our much maligned academy had four outfield players helping to hold Derby away to a draw. Just depends how you look at it I guess?
