so i'm guessing tomorrow, BBS will either be saying he had a good game and we're cnuts for letting him go. or he had a poor game and we were right all along because he's $hit and will never make a footballer. i'm interested to see which way it swings. good luck diggers..
Absolutely and totally bonkers IMO walking straight into a CHAMPIONSHIP club in the PLAYOFF PLACES in a position he's got no first team experience in. This whole Digby saga has totally blown my mind. I wrote him off on his attempts to step up to our first team now I just am not sure what to think.
I've consistently said he will make a top footballer and I sincerely hope he does. Good luck Diggers.
you'll soon find out. i'm expecting him to have a good game. i imagine he'll be wanting to make a point.
First our official site describes White as a midfielder, then Diggers walks into a championship team. Tyrone's gonna have some fun on here tonight. Sent from my SM-G900F using Tapatalk
I hope I'm wrong but he just aint good enough. I can understand Macca taking him on loan due to his potential and chucking him into a FA cup match against a lower league opposition, nowt to lose really. It's a win win situation for both clubs. If he proves to be a decent centre half for Ipswich, we'll just take him back. Thanks again Mick.
Ill make my statement now and nail my colours to the mast. I hope he has a great game and shows enough for him to sign permanently for Ipswich for a fee. I always want our local talent to do well. However i think several managers have tried to get the best from Diggers and i haven't seen a good enough contribution to cause us to play him week in week out. Being a BFC Development graduate isn't enough on its own to warrant a place. I think therefore its better for us and him to move on. I also hope he does well in future and dont see any sour grapes. Its not unusual for a player to do well at one club and not so well at another. Thats football.
Tomorrows match is in the FA Cup, against L2 opposition, where Ipswich will field a weak side with the cavalry on the bench.
I'd say there is no chance we ever see him play for us again. Isn't he out of contract in the summer? So either he does well and moves up a league, does poor and we've done right loaning him out. I don't see an option where he does well out on loan and comes back better for us.
I'm rather annoyed at this. You are trying to make me out like some know it all gob ***** like Whitey
Good luck to the lad. I think this loan deal could be good all round. He's bound to learn a lot under Mick's tutorage.
