I thought with three internationals on duty you can cancel a game like Donny did with us. Which begs the question as to why we'd want to play a game without certain players. I hope we aren't overconfident expecting to win anyway. Williams will be missed because nobody waiting in the wings is anywhere near as good.
Only one player, Williams, that I would say was "key". Why clog up the fixture list for that. Right decision to go ahead in my mind. About time Tracey or the fat lad had a run out. Cole scored on Saturday & deserves to go back in & we have Hemmings & Lita...
I think it has to be mutual. I think with Doncaster, we also had a few players out on international duty, albeit young lads. We'll manage I reckon although Williams may be a miss. We can certainly work around it.
[I think it has to be mutual. I think with Doncaster, we also had a few players out on international duty, albeit young lads] It's not mutual. It's simply that if you have 3 players called up for international duty you can postpone the game, no matter what the other team say or want to do
Williams missing is a worry. I think I'd give Jennings his chance at the tip of the diamond - presuming of course he isn't injured.
I agree only Williams was certain to start - Trotta may have done but think he would have been on the bench as would Digby at best. Would be a bit miffed if the game is called off at such late notice because we are missing one player. As said above if it was 3 established first teamers instead of 1 it would be different
Loan players do not count for international call ups and postponing game. Only Digby counts for us, so we cannot call it off
