LJs coaching must be working. For the first time in ages we saw diggers receive the ball and think positive fwd movement rather than turning and playin either backwards or East/west. With his size and passing ability and footballing brain he should dominate centre mid in this division. Looks like the attention lee is paying to individual coaching could pay off very constructively for a number of players. He's already had a v positive effect on George at left back in terms of his ability to carry the ball forwards. I'm liking the way this is all shaping up.

I really hope it works out for Young Diggers, he looked the part today with his penetrative passing and vision

I was very impressed when he came on. At one point he played a pass out wide and made a forward run into the box before receiving the ball back and controlling it brilliantly on the turn.

I've never seen him make a forward run before but with his size and ability on the ball he has the potential to cause the opposition lots of problems when joining the attack from deep.

I think he's got just as much potential as Pearson and if Pearson isn't around next season I'd be more than happy for Digby to take his place.

Similarly, I've not seen Geogre Smith get forward as often has he did today. In prior games he checked back inside too many times and slowed the attack down. Today he took him man on numerous times and we ended getting a goal from it. Best performance so far from him.

I hope he makes it! I can think of no other club that has a teenage/20yr old homegrown lad that is big, physical, strong, a ball player who the England set up play more than his own club. That's not to say he deserves an automatic start. But the **** he gets beggars belief.

I was very impressed with Digby today, he certainly looked the part. I know it was only a 20 minute cameo, but he looked every bit as good as Pearson to me. I hope he gets another year at least. I think it may come back to bite us if we released him.

I'd much rather have him at the club than Bailey, who I'd be looking to get rid of and, it seems, may be on his way. I'd be pretty happy with having Hourihane, Berry, Scowen, Abbott and Digby as centre mids going into the new season, with Bree able to play there aswell. Although an experienced head who can tackle and pass wouldn't go amiss to provide a steady head, dare I say it a Greening type player.

It's frustrating you just know that he,s got the ability but doesn't,t show it ,could today be the turning point?

I think Pearson will be here next season - why play him in dead rubber games otherwise. And let's face it, he's not going to play for Manchester United's first team.

I reckon he'll have his eyes set on a loan to a Championship team and seek to step up a level. Sure Johnson would want him but we'll have competition.

He's said he wants to play at Championship level next season. LJ has also said he wants him here next season and we may have to rely on some loans again.

he`s had more than his fair share of injuries and needs time to get playing, tho some people on here can`t see further than their nose end,he`s a fantastic talent given time and if he can keep injury free the sky could be the limit for him

All season I've been reading about Digby's ' final chance' and that LJ should get shut. Suddenly after a 20 minute cameo in the last match of the season this guy is really promising. I don't know what to believe any more.

It was that good a cameo though. Didn't put a foot wrong. Just needs to play like that the majority of the time and he's easily worth a place in the team.

He's only ever started 10 games for us in four years. He's not really had his 'chance' in my book. Those who will make the decision on his future will be the people who see him day in, day out in training and are more qualified than those who make up their minds having seen 20 minutes here and there.

Having said that, I was impressed enough today to hope we keep him!
