    But surely that must have been before clubs started sniffing around who can offer him 4 or 5 times in wages what we can. It's all very well being able to meet the transfer fee, but if we can only pay him ten grand a week when Everton are offering him £40k, it's not going to do a lot of good, unfortunately.
