Why can we never have an easy win?!?!?

I thought today was a great opportunity for MacPhail to showboat given that Darlington gave Barnsley loads of space, but he didn't take it.

After the goal we should have won by a comfortable margin of 3 or more goals.

I'm just glad it wasn't a league game!

We are in the draw for the 2nd round and thats all that matters. But i agree we should have scored more goals given the amount of chances we had but 1 goal was enough because Darlington didnt really cause us any problems. Brilliant defensive display, lead by Hassell.

Shame Shuker had to be subbed at half time as he was ripping them apart in 1st half

But if it'd been a league game...

We'd have three more points so I don't understand that comment!

why do barnsley always seem to switch off after getting on top i thought today after first 15 minutes that it would be a walk in the park but instead they were again holding on by the grit of their teeth a good battling performance but how long can they keep doing it?

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

    I didn't go.

But I'm assuming by 'ripping them apart' you mean 'playing like a tw*t but running around a lot'?

And yes Don, I'm well aware of who our top scorer is. Although, to me, that says more about the team than the player.

And your dancing is a bit girly. It's the skirt.

I'm not a Shuker fan, but....

today in the first half he did well and caused them all sorts of problems, set up the goal....

    Fair dos.

Didn't go, so I'm in no position to comment.

That said, I've been to games where my arse has had more influence but Shuker's been MotM...

    Same games I've seen....

too many crosses to the first defender, runs to nowhere, passes to nobody in a red shirt...

RE: But if it'd been a league game...

To clarify my comment, if it had been a league game the opposition would have actually managed to score at least one against us. The difference in ability between the sides was apparent from the start but we didn't make it count enough in my opinion.
