Just wondering if anyone here could help before I trapse to the bank...

I subscribed to Barnsleyworld for the Wednesday game at the 99p trial option. I cancelled after the Ipswich game as I dont have enough money in the bank to pay for the annual thing. There is some small print on My Account section that says I should inform the bank when cancelling any direct debits. Would this mean I have to go to the bank and tell them in person that I don't want the annual subscription or will just cancelling on the website before it starts be ok?

    Thanks in advance. :)

Cancelling on the bank website should suffice

I've done that a few times

In that case, make sure you contact your bank and tell them of the cancellation.

Barnsley World are not the most organised of companies!

They wouldn't be the only ones

I took out a free trial subscription to MLB TV to watch one of the final baseball games of season online, cancelled within the week and still got charged the first sub - although they did refund it when I informed them - the difference in the £-$ exchange rate meant I was still a bit down on the deal though.

Do you think Id be able to do that over the phone as I'm miles away from my bank at the moment?
