    do we need one?

I know many have dismissed this in the past. Its a role in different titles with many clubs that fills the gap between a head coach and ownership : club management.

Given we now have a transfer policy and sustainability is high on the agenda do we need someone who can get the plan executed better when the context changes.

Someone who will identify who adds experience, if the balance of young and hungry is right, what will be the return on investment ON the pitch. How can we add loanees, experienced players, to very young team. What can we add to our Head coach that helps him bring the team together. Someone who has time to work in footballing things and engage in and outside of the club on footballing topics outside of the day to day of each team.

    I think we should.

Theres many candidates I'm sure we all love that would also bring something in this kind of role.

I get the feeling that Murphy was brought in with that as part of his remit.
I know his official job title is CEO, but Zuk takes care of the financial side of things at the club.

We’re too small a club to accommodate an expensive non-job. This should be within the remit of the existing staff.
