If you look around the window this time, not much has been going on which would be within our budget. We could not compete with Wrexham for the wages they are paying Jay Rodrigues, or the reported £2 million they paid for Sam Smith. Why wouldn't Cauley Woodrow go and join his old mates Callum Brittain and Hedges at Blackburn Rovers? HOWEVER, my one disappointment is that we couldn't, or didn't attempt to make a better offer than Fleetwood Town for Louie Marsh. He is a known quantity being local and would do a job for us for the half season. Surely we could have been a more attractive prospect than Fleetwood in League Two? There are hardly any other players on the move this window that would be a) in our financial range, or b) an improvement on what we currently have. I am wondering how Darryl Clarke is feeling this morning. At least he knows now who has got to work with and try to succeed with. In principal, it is not a weaker squad than most in this league.
