    flying into the UK for talks this Thursday. They have offered Mido a package already.

    Mellis all done and dusted and signs a 2 year contract tommorow.

    Credit where credit is due in my opinion Mellis is a fantastc signing for BFC and Mido is still a pipedream to me.

    I hope to god we can get him as that will be one of the bigeest transfer coup's for BFC in a very long time.

    Does this mean Butterfield will be staying now ??? Him and Mellis in centre of the park will be fantastic, or does this mean Butterfield has been sold already and the coin is now being spent ??

    If we sign Mido I might wet myself its that good !! even if he's rubbish for tarn and it doesn't work out he will fit in nicely at the hand car wash place near the bridge at Wombwell :wink::wink::wink::wink:

    Fair play to the club, a couple of potentially very good players there, both of whom could have probably gone to bigger clubs. I dare say Mellis's time on loan here helped us a little bit, he obviously had an ok time here on loan.

    Not sure what the crack is with Mido though - Sounds a bit like that long shot Football Manager bid you put in for a free transfer, and the player amazingly asks you for a wage you can afford :cool:

    Get Mido and Mellis and go back in for that Greer and we are looking much stronger

    If Butterfield is on his bike the I'd have Brian Howard back in a flash

    just need another striker to go with Mido if he comes in

    Don't think we need a proper target man with the way we play though. We need someone who can hold on to the ball when its played in to his feet and can bring other people in to the game.

    Isn't that what a target man is?

    I always think of a target man as someone who can control the ball, be it with his head, chest or feet and lay it off to someone who can play. You look for your target, fire it up to him and he plays in the guys who score the goals.

    I think IF Mido does sign then we would be fully stocked up front. Mido or davies starting with other on bench and dagnell or rose with him.

    Hmmm, tough one. I agree, but then people would criticise Gray for not being a 'proper target man' because when we pinged balls 10 feet over his head he wasn't flicking them on. But I always thought he did well as a target man when utilised as you've described. I tend to get the feeling when people add 'proper' in front of 'target man' they mean someone to win flick ons

    I don't understand why,

    If we WERE to sign Mido, he & Davies couldn't be played together as our main two strikers.

    othet on bench with dagnall or Rose.
    7 subs next season
    i prefer 4231 and mellis and etuhu both say to me that hill wants that. I think mellis can really only perform at is best there too.
