DEVANEY OUT FOR REST OF SEASON Posted on: Fri 25 Apr 2008 BARNSLEY winger Martin Devaney has been ruled out of the final two matches of the season. Martin suffered a thigh injury in training this week and will miss the games with Charlton Athletic and Cardiff City. Reds manager Simon Davey told www.barnsleyfc.co.uk: "Martin has tore a thigh muscle in training and is definitely out of the last two. "He is looking at being out for something like six weeks so he has no chance for the Charlton and Cardiff games".
Thats who it is then There was a story on yesterday about another injury but no one knew who it was We will be running out of players for the bench - Potter or Butterfield should get into the squad I reckon
Bad news, gives us a big problem Leon is no winger, but with Disco out and no Coulson, looks like he's only option. big blow that.
No big loss..................... Too inconsistent for my liking............another player to get rid of in't summer
RE: Bad news, gives us a big problem JCR on right, Howard on left & Leon in middle with Togwell (remember him?). Sorted.
I doubt it I don't see why everyone thinks he's the saviour. The few times I saw him, he didn't impress me in the slightest (Christensen I mean)
What ??? you're barmy. Devaney has been one of our most improved players, his crossing has improved, work rate second to none, and assists on the 2 most important goals we've scored this season. and for the record, Disco was one of 2 who signed new contracts last season without clauses about leaving if we go down and way before our survival was confirmed. top bloke.
I wasn't serious, but I don't understand why people feel the need to say second to none instead of first. That women who came second in the cake baking competition last year, when there was no other entries, arguably came second to none, didn't she?
Good god their going down like flies, its a good job its end a season. It really makes you wonder what they have em doing in training.
