Singing 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' after conceeding a goal when we have a young player making a debut in defense and another on his second ever game.
Are they singing it at those two or at the shower of ***** that we call a midfield who have all been absolutely w@nk all season?
It's all over bar the shouting. When it gets to this stage there is only ever one outcome. Defeat on Tuesday and it will all be over on 999.
are you ?? me neither... but its not good for the youngsters moral. We have an injury list that's long and a suspension I believe... we are on the bones of our arse basically as far as the squad is concerned
I think they're right about a lot of our players. As long as the criticism is collective and they don't single players out, especially young ones, then I'm OK with it.
The die hards who managed to get to Walsall considering it's nearly Xmas and we are playing poorly have every right to vent their anger. It's the manager they need to be targeting.
I've heard boos at matches I've been to all season, including when we've been winning (even 5-0 in one case). My point is though, no matter who it is aimed at, Cowgill will hear that and after busting a gut will always have the memory of having that shouted at him in his first ever game where it sound like he put in a decent performance.
welcome to football. i'm afraid he's gonna have to man up quickly, and learn to deal with it. i trust those following 503 - and if jack put in a decent shift, those chants won't have been aimed at him
tbh I cannot believe I can conceive of chanting 'you're not fit to wear the shirt' to any Barnsley player. it's too self demeaning. I sometimes think it though.
I was there and have to say I had a fairly loud chunter at the end. I was cold and fed up as were most of the rest.
I'm pretty sure the fans weren't targeting individuals, but probably the team as a whole. I'd like to read a match report from someone who went.
I thought we looked like a patched up side short of confidence? Movement was sluggish and once again, as at Chester and Donny, we lacked ideas and seemed to be either relying on smashing in a worldy or making a pass so intricate that the Dutch team of the 1970s would have baulked still for being too intricate. Trotta especially had Waitrose ideas and Poundshop delivery. They had much more of the ball and our ball retention was pretty poor. We had more shots but mostly of the hot and hope variety.i always thought they mlwere more threatening. First half was end to end and entertaining second half underwhelming. Pretty deserved defeat though overall.
