Mate of mine is trying to set up her new PC. Keeps getting the 'Disk Boot Failure' error message after being told to insert the disc and press enter
I've done some googling, and looks like maybe a BIOS issue. Does it need to be changed so it boots from the C drive first?
How is this done?

Go into the BIOS Usually F1 or F10 depending on vendor. Find the boot order and set the local hard disk as the first boot option. Save Changes and exit Done
RE: Go into the BIOS Apparently it didn't work
I'm stumped as to what else to try. Gets a bit complicated from there on in

What didnt work? Could you get into the bios and change the boot order - or was getting that far the problem?
RE: What didnt work? She told me she could change the boot order, but it still came up with the disc error message
Just answer the question! That's how things work, question, answer, question answer. When you go question, question then this causes conversational mayhem. Just a little tip for you there.
