Do I need a cbt or not...

thinking about getting a scooter/moped and just been on Direct gov web site to look at CBT info. It says that you don't need a cbt of you passed car test before feb 2001. Is this still the case and can I use my licence as a provisional on a scooter? Is this classed as a 50cc or can I ride a 125 as well without a cbt? thanks</p>

if your over 18 and you have a driving licence then you can ride a 125, but i think you will still have to do a cbt and have L plates on the bike. your best of going into a shop that sells scooters they'll be able to tell you all you need to know
