    thankfully power has just been restored, my laptop battery died just before you gave me the number, I'll save that for next time though cheers.

    Why is it that people's alarms start to go off when the power comes back on? that's gonna fry my head for the rest of the day now, whoevers it is is probably at work

    Isn't it to do with battery backup on alarms? They are meant to go off if power is interrupted in case someone tries disconnecting the alarm before breaking in.
