Do players get paid for playing for England?

Just wondering as its something I have never been sure of. Do they get a fee?

.... (dunno) . But if they do they ought to hand it over to a worthy cause. Such as Macmillan Cancer Support ....

Or such like....For sure they aint earned their money a lately.

 

Terry Butcher was a guest at one of Ronnies Nike soccer schools back in the 90s.

He did a Q&A session and he said he had so many request for tickets from family and friends for England games that he had to buy tickets for them out of his own pocket.

He said even though he was paid to play he was always out of pocket when he played for England.

 

How we could do with a player of his calibre nowadays. (Terry Butcher) He'd shake em up....A fantastic player
