What do these referees get told before they come oakwell.... every week we get no 50/50s no consistency in desision's given for/against us.... I'm not saying we lost today because of the referee because we didn't but come on every week feels like we are playing against the referee aswell.

i dont think the fa particularly want any of the smaller clubs in the championship full stop, they are happy to see the excitement that play off and promotion generate but they couldnt give a **** about us once we are up,you only have to look at the way the money is distributed to see that,150,000,000 for being relegated, yet only 6 million for being promoted.
this is the reason we cant compete week in week out and will be lucky to survive

I think every week someone blaming the ref, form of opponents, budget of opponents, injuries, suspensions and anything else is getting tiresome. I think some expect the ref to kick the ball in the opposition net for us but the *******s won't.

Not really even the games we have won I think the refs have favoured the opposition. The best ref I've seen this season was the one we had Saturday v fulham..... just my opinion.

When we were winning refs were barely mentioned on here. You lose a few and they start getting mentioned.

This is the reality of the championship, we don't get a decent performance out of a referee. Tonight's was abysmal but he was no worse than I expected before the game had even started.

The problem for me is that I feel they are ruining the games by being so consistently rubbish.

No but he must have been tempted to kick it in ours...I assumed Newcastle had fetched their own man.

The ref wasn't even that bad tonight? He was equal for giving fouls for and against us. Sometimes he gave some soft ones but nothing to properly be up in arms about.

Cynics might say they give soft ones later in the game to give the impression of balance to stop coaches complaining when the stats look bad ?

He was shocking last night. Some right soft decisions and throw in decisions were laughable... Some of them weren't even close with it being obvious Newcastle player had touched it last and yet he gave it their way. Couple over in East stand side which both ref and linesman should have seem clearly were particularly awful.

Before they scored he gave a free kick everytime they jumped on floor and at one point it looked like they were doing syncronized diving. The one where their keeper ran out to punch the ball away, mark roberts goes up with only eyes for the ball the keeper takes robo out.... free kick newcastle, never in a million years was that a free kick.

To think that the referee had any influence on the outcome of the game last night is simply delusional.

Read the first post...... I said I'm not blaming the referee for the out come. But every week we get it even when we have won I haven't been happy with the refs perfomances

I don't think the refs have particularly cost us any goals or games but there is no denying that they have been absolute toss this season. There is a big difference between blaming a ref and criticising him

It occurred to me during an away game at Blackburn 4 or 5 years ago . The ref gave Blackburn everything in the first half including mistakenly sending Mvoto off early doors , I think we got our first free kick other than for offside , just before half time . In the 2nd half he gave us everything to the point where we were laughing about it , giving us ridiculous embarrassing decisions... I'm convinced they checked the stats at half time and decided to even the count up .
