It doesn't even feel like a local derby to me. It takes forever to get there as I can't think of a worse place in the country to get to traffic wise than Bradford & it often feels like you're in a foreign country driving round the place. I don't really see it as much of a rivalry like I would if we were playing a Leeds, Donny, Rotherham, Huddersfield or a Sheffield club
If they do lose today, I've a feeling I'll be hearing the words "bottleless gets" and "a can't speik" a time or two
the most predictable thing about local derbies is that they are unpredictable as the saying goes. not sure what to expect but if we roll our sleeves up play to our strenghths and have the grit and determination it'll be enough for me whatever the result.
I expect they will bring quite a few fans even though it is on TV. I don't mind Bradford as a club, our school is full of proud supporters and even though the kids all say they have second teams such as Man City etc. they do all class Bradford as their team and will be quite vocal about their support (there's been some great banter this week as they all know I support Barnsley!)
Playing on a Sunday has its benefits... I can only be depressed for 7 hours of the weekend. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
I most certainly hope so as the Blunts game is fast approaching, but like yourself i have doubts. Come on Barnsley prove us wrong !!!!!!!
One for your memory banks here Kev. Was it Bradford that a large contingent of reds fan went to offer support for some event? Was it Bradford promotion to premier? Or am I going daft. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
