As great a player as Brian Howard indeed is, coupled together with a rarity these days, a cultured left foot, i do however think it is time to cash in while we can. £2 to £3million could be what we get and with a fully fit Anderson paired together with either Diego (showing what he can do now he is playing in his natural position and not stuck out on the left wing looking lost) or Bobby Hassel who has really adapted to his midfield role, we have ample cover. A couple of new additions up front obviously and maybe a couple in the middle/wing and we will be better equipped than having one last season out of Brian before he leaves us for nowt. Knowing our luck he will miss most of that last year with some dodgy injury or other anyways. It's probably controversial but we have enough leaders in Fozzy, Bobby and Kozluk to take over the armbard and I just think it would benefit the club in the long term to let him leave on good terms. Love ya Brian but the Premiership is calling and I reckon we should let ya go! Take a bow son!
Wing backs.
Wing backs, wing backs, wing backs. Coupled with a rotating midfield triangle of Howard, de Silva and Leon it would be devastating. Then we just want two strikers and a couple of defenders to go with Foster and we'll go up top. Yay!
edit - Just remembered Mark Beevers. Get him in.

Yes, but ...... Get Anderson back as the midfield anchor, then push Bri up to support or even play just off the strikers. Like Glav or Higgy in the good old days, or even Redders.
the classic 4-1-2-1-2 is the answer -----------------Muller/Steele------------------- ---Foster---Nyatanga--Souza----Kozluk---- -------------------Anderson------------------ -----JCR------------------------------Devaney-- ------------------Leon/Howard----------------- -------------Maken---------Stan/Kayode------
definitely, a midfielder who can weigh in with 15 to 20 goals a season is priceless. Look at our other promotion seasons and how many the likes of Glavin,Banks,Redders etc scored. Its the strikers we need to sort out
If we want to progress... We keep him. It's all well and good saying that Leon will replace him, but he's had two good games. One of the problems this season has been that when a player has got injured, his replacement isn't good enough. If Leon got injured, who would replace him? Having both him and Howard would be fantastic. If Howard says he wants to stay, we get him to stay. We don't go looking for the money, which we can probably get for selling Muller anyway next season.
Yes. Yes and yes. It seems fashionable because we've won a couple of games to think that we don't require his services. But I think up to Feb/March not only was he our top goalscorer but he had the most assists as well.
For what it's worth I dunno if he's Prem class, having not seen him up against Prem standard players regularly.
A progressive team does not get rid of one of its most influential players.

Ample cover??? A full back in midfield who admits he doesn't want to play there and a guy who has played 2 decent games. Davey has already said Howard is the type of player to build a team around why destroy it for a few quid again. Get rid of the dead wood before starting selling off a quality goalscoring midfielder, surely anybody can see that.
RE: Yes, but ...... Exactly, fans always complain when we sell our best players and now can't wait to get shut. We've all seen how good Howard & Anderson are together but no lets sell him cos we won 2 when he was injured. "If we get over a million" Are some people real try multiplying by 3.
Stupid if we let Brian go.Midfield players that contribute 15 goals are priceless. In the last 3 home games, if he plays any of them we should make it clear we want him to stay. However, I believe it will be Patrick cryne's pocket that will have to encourage him to stay!
think he'll def go, dont think we can afford to pay the wages his agent will be demanding shortly, certainly not long term!
You're right the Agent will say he's worth more but whether the increase in wages and reserve team football for at least part of the season is what Brian is looking for at this stage of his career remains to be seen.
