I think this is the closest to the original site

but we are going to end up with 'splinter' groups if we are not careful. Time will tell as to which will be used by more people and people will vote by their posts. This really shouldn't be a popularity contest as Opinion Tyke got out there and did something when the old site was 'stolen'. My preference, purely on a functional basis, is that this is the easier to use site and with a few improvements will be a good substitute for the BBS.

PS, have we given up hope of getting the old one back ?

Yeah I wasn't trying to create a popularity contest. I just thought I'd have a look into some software a bit closer to the original site.

both you and opinion tyke should get top marks for doing something when we were dropped in the sh**e !! and more power to you. !! I happen to think this software is better, although I'd still like the old BBS back, this is the closest so far. Ps I think that there has to be new site admin if the old bbs comes back, are you up for it fella ?

 

Don't mind sorting out the technical stuff

But I can't even keep my own finances in order so wouldn't want to be involved on that side

I would like to see the old BBS reopen with TT dropping off the site admin to allow things to get back to normal. (Or at least telling folk he's stepped down). I'm sure he could still be a site admin on the quiet.

 

I'm going to regret saying this....

... I'm an accountant. Oh ********, yes I'll look after a bank account, pay the bills.. etc etc... provided the income is forthcoming from like minded souls.(Only if people want me to) I'm SOOOOO going to regret saying that !!!!! I won't want to be involved in any of the censorship or that side of the admin, not my scene.
