One guy who phoned in was almost cut off straight away. I think there's a hidden agenda in here. Isn't it strange that the week after Sheff do their first live reds league game at Brum, 1575 is closed down, and Andy Giddins on Radio Sheff calls 1575 competition. Too close to home methinks.
Trying to clear this up... There are no hidden agendas. BFC are not to blame, nor is Mr Cryne. PTV aren't responsible, neither are any other media organisation, including Radio Sheffield.
RE: Just seems very strange, that's all. Cheers David. Let's all hope it'll return in some guise or other in the not too distant future. People have been quick to assume certain things, but OAM's closure has absolutely nothing to do with any "outside forces" and the club definitely haven't acted in a cynical fashion as a money saving device - that is a long way off the mark. The current situation may prove to be a temporary measure, I think everbody agrees that (eventual) free to air commentary is of great importance to the Barnsley community.
Being better informed than most on here Is there a reason why the actual reason for the radio station's demise has not been publicly stated? Journo said yesterday that certain people should be hanging their heads in shame. Evidently somebody has caused this to happen at the upset of others involved in the radio station. Why not just state the facts and end the speculation?
Cos if the truth came out, we'd have nowt to do but slag off Darren Moore and discuss how good we'll be with Anderson back!
So that's a good deal of people/groups who are not responsible Why not tell us who is? Why the secret? I'm not trying to be provocative, I'm just genuinely interested.
