Nah, mate Never bet on line, never even made a bet in a bookies, I wouldn't know how. Betting is something I've never done, I just don't see the appeal.
Never bet anywhere at anytime, apart from I bought a lottery ticket once. For £1. That's my lot in my lifetime.
Yeah it's worth signing up to as many as possible too. They all match your first bet to a certain amount so it's like a free bet. Then you get constant free bet emails which don't cost anything to use and you might win with.
Most weeks in football season especially on matches involving BFC first goalscorer, score etc and sometimes an accumalator only for a bit of interest and very rarely more tan five pounds a week unless a midweek match is on. Online is better imo as you can place small bets without feeling a tight lovely person, sometimes 50p
just joined 888 sport for free bets . catch is , you have to stake ten pound bets to get a free ten pound bet.
I've had one bet at loads of different online bookies. Actually, 2 bets, because a lot of them match your first bet and give you a free bet. I'm a member of both Quidco and Topcashback. These are internet sites that give you cash back on your purchases if you click through their sites. For gambling sites they often give you more cash back than you have to spend. I join these gambling sites in groups of three. For example, say Quidco will give you £30 cashback for depositing and betting £20 at Ladbrokes, the same for Paddy Power and the same for Coral. I deposit £20 at each of these. That's my total outlay, £60. I then bet £20 on a different outcome at a different bookies on the same game. At Ladbrokes £20 on Barnsley to win @2/1, as Paddy Power £20 on Barnsley to draw @3/1, at Coral £20 on Barnsley to lose evens. Say Barnsley win, I get £60 back. I then use my free bets on the next Barnsley game, £20 to win, £20 to lose, £20 to draw. This time the result comes in at evens, so £20 to me, you don't get your stake back on the free bets. In total I get £90 cash back, £60 for my first bet and £20 for my free bet. £170. Take away my £60 stake, £110 profit. It's not gambling because I can't lose, although now I'm running out of bookies to do this at. And then I close the accounts, never to be used again.
Yeah especially when there is a match on the telly. And as Marlon says you can bet as little as you like and not get embarrassed. Like last night at the Hibs Hearts game. I had £1 on Hearts winning H/T and Hibs winning F/T got 28/1 for that on bet365. Of course it was wrong but only £1 lost, spent more in the pub. I just like the challenge but all it shows me is I know very little about football. LOL
I use Quidco, just qualified for £6 cashback 10mins ago on a £60 purchase. I also do their 'no-brainers' where you get small amounts (e.g. 50p) for free things such as ordering a free sim from o2. I'd never seen the betting ones. I don't know if I could trust myself though once I'd opened the account, I was quite addicted to bandits for a time. Only small amounts, but I could see the potential was there.
True but theres always gamblimg responsible I bet maybe 2 pound coupon a week if that some weeks all bit of fun really i dnt hardly drink or smoke so bit of fun
I try and have no more than a fiver a week and generally manage to stick to it. I don't play the lottery any more after the prizes and frequency of wins were becoming ridiculous (although I am in the work syndicate).
I completely agree RR...the vast bulk of us can enjoy most things in moderation,I do think though the drive by Govts to encourage gambling by relaxing the restrictions as has happened since the 90's can be very damaging to more susceptible people.
Yeah agree with that gambling laws are too relaxed its advertised everywhere now and there giving free bets matching bets ect if you sign up to certain sites in aattempt to get people hooked in gambling there is only one winner.
