    19. The Commission propose that the cross-borough boundary constituency between Barnsley and Sheffield should contain the three Barnsley Borough wards of Dodworth, Penistone East, and Penistone West and the three City of Sheffield wards of East Ecclesfield, Stocksbridge and Upper Don, and West Ecclesfield, with an electorate of 63,914. It is proposed that the name of the constituency should be Penistone and Stocksbridge CC.
    Boundaries

The electoral wards used in the creation of Penistone and Stocksbridge are:

    * From Sheffield - East Ecclesfield, Stocksbridge and Upper Don and West Ecclesfield.
    * From Barnsley - Dodworth, Penistone East and Penistone West

    Members of Parliament

Once created, the seat will be represented by a single Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons.

    Elections

This seat has not yet been contested at an election. The seat will be fought for the first time at the 54th United Kingdom general election, which must be held by 2010.

Seems a bit stupid? Lumping Dodworth in with Sheffield wards? I don't like the idea.
    i. The concerns of a Barnsley resident may differ greatly from those living in Shefield who may never go to Barnsley and have different local authority, and
ii. emotionally I dont like the idea, itjs failing to recognise Barnsley as a seperate entity and being a distinct place which it is, rather than part of a greater Sheffield.

Doesn't make sense, what about Silkstone Common, Silkstone, and Hood Green?

    Get used to it

We in South Huddersfield have been lumped in with Wakefield due to Ann Taylor requiring a safer seat, and now we are going to revert back to Dewsbury. Prior to that we were in the Colne Valley constituency.
