Was he that good for you? For Wisla it seems hes only squad player and a bench warmer because we have better devensive midfielder. Why did he join Wisla? To play in first team and go to the World Cup? It wont happen soon Im afraid, he will have to wait for injury etc. If only he could play on the left...........

    Nope, was overrated

He was being slagged to bits while at Oakwell, just cos he's been transfered he's now a good player.
Wouldn't have made much different in our side if he was still here.
I personally think Howard is a much better player anyway

Howard is possibly more skillful but definitely not better than Burns in the role that he had in the team.

I've never slagged Burns off & for me, he would have got my vote for Player of the Year. I fully understand why he wanted to leave & thought that those that booed him when he came on for what proved to be his last appearance against Colchester, were a set of pillocks. Still think that in fact.

    Yes Yes and Yes again!!!!

Its no coincidence we haven't won since he left. He was fantastic at what he did, which was breaking the play up in midfield and just generally being the midfield engine room.

Player of the season, by far! The only reason McPhail can be bothered now is cos he has to put the work in, and he wants another club.

Its a good job he was with us for the majority of the season, if he wasn't, we wouldn't be pushing for play offs thats for sure.

Not quite a one man team, but haven't been far off!

RE: Yes Yes and Yes again!!!!

The results since he left speak for themselves. He is the only change to the squad and look at the difference it has made.

To be honest I didn't rate him that highly and didn't think we would miss him as much as we have. The evidence was there before the transfer deadline.

Not replacing him is was a massive blunder on Ritchies' or the Boards part?
