We have blown our chances of automatic promotion over the last 6 games or so
Even though we have the best squad in the division
But with lack of bite and willingness to win in the side we are not ready for the play offs
How big a disappointment would it be to get into the play offs now only to be slaughtered at the first fence
As far as I am concerned the season finished since the game at Bournmouth
For me they can wrap it up for this season

You seem to give up quicker than anyone.....NO I don't.......but BFC seem to

Its no good having a team with Howard and McPhail strolling about in midfield, twisting and turning and doing pretty things with the ball
Its no good having a team with Devaney and Shuker racing down the wings and beating players for fun
When at the end of the day there is no nastiness in the side, no snarl, no bite, no fire, no willingness to knock the other guy down to get what you want
No Chris Morgan mentality

Chris Morgan Mentality...

********!

you have the mentality of CM...

all it needs is someone to stick the ball in the net you doofus! not someone who hoofs it 20 mile into the air Antony Kaye Style (sorry AK, thats offensive to you).

Morgan is one of THE worst players ever to put on a BFC Shirt!

Ahh, that'd be why he's been a regular in a side most likely bound for the Premiership this season (banghead)

If he is he's flattered to deceive for a long time

In his 9th season as a pro footballer, with only one outside the top two divisions.

For all his faults I'd have him back tomorrow.

One Thing....

Is that we've not really had a good long run of form.

Ok, we haven't lost many, but we're still to hit the 5 wins on-the-trot job. Swansea have had it, so have Colchester, Southend are in their's now, Hudds have had it, Oldham are in their's now and Brentford's had their's.

So, ok, we may not get ours, but usually once season every team puts in a good run within the 46 games, hopefully we'll get ours now - 'cos we're due for it!

But if not, then we'll prob have to settle for 7th place - which ain't too bad for Ritchie's first full season in charge...........

Chris morgan may have his faults.......

I for one have always said he has faults as a footballer
But
Will to win.........he's got 100%

If we had Morgan now he would frighten to death some of the (2gay) that are playing for the TARN now

ok thats a fair point....

what you fail to realise is, its ok having the effort (saturday one example).

Not having the necessary skills is another thing.

Ie sticking the ball in the net.

Morgan was always 100% committed and effort was faultless, BUT... when he made a clanger (which was at at least nearly every other game), their tended to be a goal at the end of it. Not something you need at this time is it.

Its not the back 4 thats the problem.... (ie 2nd or 3rd best in league)

We are all moaning, and thats because its slipping from our own grasp, but we would all have taken it at the beginning of the season.

Its still their to take, but the depressing thing is, we all know we could be in a better position. Lets just wait until the fat knacker sings, then we can all do a brian clough "if me aunty wa me unle etc" if we don't make it. If we do get in their, then we can all say well done. 6 games left yet, and theirs no point in us destroying what still COULD be...

Season end, is when we can all moan or celebrate (unless you all have a crystal ball)

RE: saturday

the commintment was there, challenges were flying in left right and center, the only thing that let us down was the finishing!

we've played far worse and won and they will have played better an lost! these things happen, but to say they lack fire or commitment is harsh, maybe we do miss a player who will but crunching challenges in but i don't think you can say this season we have been out muscled in a game, which is a first for a long time!!!!!!!!!!

I am not on about crunching tackles

I am on about willingness to win
In other words EFFORT
I dont see running round like a chicken with no head on for 90 minutes as EFFORT
Then again.......watch the match....there wasn't that much running off the ball
Probably people have mis-understood what I am saying here about EFFORT
For example - Windass shows EFFORT to succeed
I sat theer at Huddersfield, and so did a load of guys round me, and they all senced that we wern't going to score
We were making pretty patterns all over the field but there was no real beleive or EFFORT to make things happen

That is absolute Knackers Nudge.....

1. The use of physical or mental energy to do something; exertion.
2. A difficult exertion of the strength or will: It was an effort to get up.
3. A usually earnest attempt: Make an effort to arrive promptly.
4. Something done or produced through exertion; an achievement: a play that was his finest effort.
5. Physics. Force applied against inertia

We would have walked the game if we had finished our efforts. We had more efforts than them.

WTF are you on about. We were the better team - fact and with a bit of composure would have arse holed the knuckle scrapers

effort?

so they did not try on saturday? so the performance was rubbish, becasue if thats what you saw you must have been watching a different game to me!?

i saw plenty of effort and a team wnating to win the game! what i do not understand is your reference to morgan earlier saying if we had him some of them would have got stuck in, which they did hence the 13 fouls conceded and 4 bookings!!

here is one of your quotes

"When at the end of the day there is no nastiness in the side, no snarl, no bite, no fire, no willingness to knock the other guy down to get what you want"

so you want us to foul them all over then cos that always wins you games!!!

simple question to you, were we not the better team on saturday that deserved something fromt he game?

anyone who has ever played football will knwow that you always want to win, nobody likes losing especially in big games, but at the end of the day they put a chance away and that was the difference, and they only scored on the break!

define effort for me please? becasue windass showed very little effort when we played them away in the cup!

just read what you have put again

and i would not say we ran round like headless chickens and thought we closed them down well and put them on the back foot, but obvioulsy i was at a different game!

have you ever tried going to a game with a positive attitude?

I'm now convinced you don't go to matches

you must just get the reports from someone who listens to the radio

the only other conclusion is you don't know much/anything about football
