Doc Marten boots?

    just got a brand new pair from work, they are as stiff as ****, any tips on how to soften them up. Sensible ones plz.

    this is not a wind up. leave them soaking overnight in p155 and water mixed put them on next day and let them dry on your feet, ex squaddie and done it myself with new boots

    Dubbin. If you can still get it, of course. Used to be able to get it at Army and Navy stores.

    I used to use water when I was in the Army and it always worked for me. Water and two pairs of socks for a week or so. I never bothered with the pi55 but I think some of the lads did and it didn't do them any harm.

    In my youth

    We used oxblood polish on our dockers, softened them up lovely.

    I also remember going to oakwell with them sprayed with silver paint. All the rage in the mid seventies, along with a scarf tied to each wrist
