Later tonight "Oil City Confidential" 11:35pm. Wilko Johnson and co at their finest not to be missed imo
Yes that's right dek he is terminally I'll and is embarking or has embarked on a farewell tour. Never saw them live had plenty of oppertunities but never got off for some reason or another. Can remember their hits ringing out in Stables night club, great memories great band. Looking forward to docu
I'm not a big fan but this is a great music film. It's a very interesting time for music, pub rock pre punk. And really good insight into that part of the south-east, it's industry and music. And Wilko is one of the great characters of British Rock. Just watched the Graham Parker doc, he was just annoying in a Nils Lofgren sort of way. He not only sings like an American, he writes like one too. What's that all about?
Wilko in London last week. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10hpjJ-aZSQ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wQjVMr9M7hk
