From my experience of this guy, he is an oridinary supporter elevated to a position of importance within the overall club structure- yet nothing more than a flunky of the powers that be.

When Doyle was in charge - and it was totally obvious he was was asset stripping - he constantly potrayed the myth that had it not been for Peter Doyle, the club would have folded.

PD didn't actually sell any of the assets of BFC though ,he loaned money against them, which all football clubs have done

The loan against the asset equated to a greater amount (if any) than he actually put in. Barnsley were £3 million in debt when they went into administration, the loan was circa £4.5 million. He then sold the club - circa 6 £million - for more than was outstanding on the loan. For me, that's asset stripping whichever way you dress it up.

Barnsley FC has been asset stripped

It went in to administration with more land than any other football club. It owned it's own stadium and training facilities. Now it owns nothing. But Peter Doyle hasn't got any of it.

I have kept out of this debate previously but you do have to ask why they dont make the minutes of their meetings publically available, as they are the only organisation recognised by the club as representing the fans.

I have no issues with only members being allowed to speak and vote at meetings but everything discussed should be available to all

go to the next meeting and find out for yourself - always easy to form your own views instead of " listening to the pack " - suggestion like - mines a tetleys - you can pay

Do you want some crisps with that pint?

I agree completly. You get out of an organisation what you put in. If you dont put any effort in what can you expect

And there is no following of the pack from me. Its just a personal opinion. I think it would be reasonable to have information publically available from an organisation that represents several thousand people
