Just bought one today, not a ******* clue how to use it and it hasn't come with a manual besides for installation.

I thought it would just be like using a memory stick, dropping the files into the drive in my computer.

Have you looked in my computer and found another local drive

The hard drive we have at work comes up as a local drive with a different letter rather than as a usb device - think ours comes up as drive f

    Or if you're using Vista...

Right click on Computer and it's third down on the list (well it is on mine).

It seems from the Western Digital site that there's no device driver software needed for the drives.

    Well..

It says it's easy to use, I just plugged it in like the piece of paper it came with said and it installed its self (so it says). I put My Music folder on using the program it loaded when it had 'installed' and the only things I could see were the album art files for the music. So I must be doing something wrong, somewhere.

I've done as the online guide says and I'll let you know if it works.

    Cheers all.
