Does anybody mend DVD recorders locally

    Got a JVC video/DVD recorder with Hard Drive gone on the blink, about 2 years old, Anybody know a repair company, locally, or should I get SKY plus ?????

    I've got a similar freeview device (but it's a Sony). Does yours have the freeview tuner built in?

    To be honest, if mine broke down tomorrow, I'd buy another rather than gt it repaired.

    In addition to Sky+, did you consider FreeSat; Virgin Media and also the Setanta Box?

    Its a combo DVD/Video recorder player but not free view. I have Sky so perhaps don't need Free View. But it is, sorry, was, a decent bit of kit with some things on the Hrd Drive I would like to recover.
