Clock on for work these days? Last time I did it was in 1969 at Sammy Fox's Belmont 'prentice school.
They still do it now But it's for safety reasons , rather than for a method of payment . It's been like that since February 2003 .
my office used to be at the side of the clocking station at no.2 gate I can still hear them all clocking off at 4.30pm
Not so much as clocking on but sighning in and out in the construction ind on main contracts is the norm for safety reasons.
Did you know That Kev spent 25 years in Payroll , before leaving in 2003 ? Apparently , he still gets wage queries sent to him!!!ff
is that why you live in 15 bedroomed mansion and winter on the algarve???
no wonder they started making a profit in 2004 for the first time in (surprise, surprise) 25 years. Thought it was me leaving that had caused that!!!
I think I started as a trainee3 years after Kev, so had dealings on and off with him untilI left.

Clocks are a bit sophisticated now days like they calculate your wages, overtime, bonus, all from the clock link to the wages computer.
