I'd always had RAC but only because they were the ones on the precinct when I'd just got a car and was going to get cover. Got free cover with new car though at the moment
I have fully comp with both The AA and RAC. The AA came free with the bike, and The RAC one I paid for a joint account with my Dad. Personally, I prefer The RAC.
Mine just ran out with the Manufacturers Warranty The Green Flag site is so complicated just to even get a quotation. I used to get my Car Insurance from the Prudential. The guy used to some to the house, look up the policy price in his little black book and it was all done in ten minutes. Nowadays, they want loads fo details just to even get a breakdown cover quotation. I think I will take you advice and call at the RAC spot in the town center. Thanks, Stephen
I've been with the AA for about 15 years and never had a problem with them even when they've turned out to ancient vans and buses!! Only once used the RAC - my mate called them out to what was in fact my illegal Transit as we had dumped it on a street near Holyrood for a few months, then got notice that it had to be moved because the council were re-laying the pavement! We remembered the night before it had to be moved and, somewhat the worse for wear, called them out to the van. We went up to the van and waited for the RAC to get there. Just as the guy arrived I realised I didn't have the key! Having told the bloke some story, he broke into the van, got the steering lock off and towed it to another street for us!! Never asked whose van it was, why we didn't have keys, why there was a Special Brew label instead of a Tax Disc....!
I have RAC and if I don`t use them they knock summat off next time. Been with them about 3 years and just gets cheaper.
Don't think there's much to choose between any of them, just personal preference.
I'm with Green Flag.
