i have one cost me £500. when you come to put them onto computer they are in .MOD files. but i think you can still play them on media player....well it worked for me. but if you want them in a better format i would buy cyberlinks powerdirector which converts them to .mpg .avi and so on. The cameras quality is very good. The zoom is sensational. its well worth the money (Y)

    I got the JVC Eviro

Simplest thing in the world to make a DVD from it, takes a short time in comparison uses its own version of Quicktime so needs the programmes that come with it to convert.

I lent it the son Xmas day, he brought it back next day and i had written the DVD before he had finished his Xmas cake and Coffee.

You get an editing programme. Cyberlink Power Director and Producer as stated by someone else, but i havn't bothered with that, just put all the segments in as is. Then when you come to the actual production you can save it in DVD format AVI format or DivX even to go onto youtube.

Its only fault,,,,,,,,,, battery that comes with it lasts an hour or so, but doesn't take overlong to recharge and i got a backup,
