Are they on a first come first served basis, or is there a criteria for deciding who is next on the list?

I'd guess urgent priority towards the top, but its obviously also based on compatibility with the organs available.

Could do with a new liver myself like...

As far as I am aware

Compatability is what is looked at and then the list will be checked to see which patient on the waiting list needs the transplant soonest.

I'm not sure but I think that children are still given priority over older patients.
