Mine just keeps loading up - crashing - loading up - crashing - loading up - crashing X 10,00000 it's getting quite annoying now.

I think the graphics driver is causing some gyp and want to change the settings but I can't before it crashes. Anyone know how to force a safe mode boot in XP?

Yes. Keep pressing F8 after the beep.

There's no beep, but when I get home I'll just turn it on with f8 pressed down. Cheers.

Don't keep it pressed down, keep tapping it!

I could do SOS in Morse Code, or did you mean a bit of Bruce Forsyth? I'm not really that showbizzy to be honest.

    Cheers for advice (Y) :D

If you press f8 too soon you may not get what you want, ie all the safe startup modes.
If you wait until the initial loadup screen goes blank/black BUT BEFORE the next blue Welcome screen comes up, press f8, then you should get the safe mode wotsits.
I had to do this for missen t'other day and to start with I hadn't got a clue.
Found out how on google, I think.
(Assuming you're on Windows xp of course)

Cheers David - was in Lincoln last week, didn't see anyone with webbed fingers, but there were plenty of swans and ducks....plus if anyone in Barnsley ever feels the need to moan about the town centre level crossing.....how bloody many are there in Lincoln? Nice pint of XXXB and all.
