The official ones have sold out and I need 4 tickets. I know the outpost do one but it’s setting off at 7:15 which is way too early for me (Official coaches are setting off at 9.) Dose anyone know of any others?
On a side note I felt a little let down when I found out the club would not be setting on any more coaches on(They have 2 going). This game will be the most important away game of the season and it’s also one of the furthest away games of the season, transports going to be a big factor for fans. Apparently the club needs to sell 30 seats on a coach to break even; a coach has around 50 seats on average that’s a £380 profit per coach going down to Southend (2 coaches = £760 profit). Im sure a third coach would have been at least half full, why couldn’t they have used the profit made from the first 2 coaches to cover the loss on the third? You would think its more important to have a bigger following down their than it is make a few hundred quid!
You are so right mate ...... ...... I never use the 'official' coaches but in my opinion they should keep putting them on and filling them up whilst there is a demand by the supporters. Believe me, they would not lose any money by doing so, as you rightly say, the profits they make on the full coaches would more than cover the 'loss' on the last 'half full' coach. Once again, BFC with a ****, small-minded, non-caring attitude to their supporters at a time when the team needs their backing more than ever. PS. The club made enough money on the one trip to Cardiff last season to cover any future 'losses' a 1000 times over - penny pinching tossers the lot of 'em
I'll give the box office manger a ring on Monday (shes on holiday) and ask her why she only sanctioned 2 coaches; we pay for our season tickets and should have some say in these matters.
Iv been given a number from The Mount for another coach, however the fella organising it is at work and cant be contacted until 6, which is cutting it close seen as I haven’t bought match tickets yet Does anyone have the number for The Dove on Sheffield road? apparently they do coaches (I can find a number online).
Try Selwyn on 07904 092265, he goes with the Dove, suspect they will be going as early as the Outpost though cos they all like a beer or two!
What time will maceys be setting off for west brom?</p> Where will it be stopping for beers? bloody early kick off getting in the way of drinking. </p>
You're pissing in the wind!! </p> "You would think its more important to have a bigger following down their than it is make a few hundred quid!"</p> I fully sympathise, pal. This ticket gesture for the Leicester game is a good 'un, but they're missing the boat, as usual. Free coaches for as many folk as possible that wanted to go would have been a fantastic gesture, brilliant PR for the beleaguered board and might just have tipped the game our way with a noisy, colourful backing at Roots Hall. I'd have gone, for one - might even have taken the kids. But. nah, **** it - forecast's good, so we're off to Ingleton for t'day.</p> Business plan completely blinkered.</p>
RE: 653 matchday tickets sold.............. When my old man went down to get a couple more this morning
RE: 653 matchday tickets sold.............. 50 or so more than when someone I know went down to get some yesterday and were told 600 had just been sold. So much for the "selling fast" comment the other day on the official site
Before Birmingham game we had only sold 200 max according to ticket office this morning. Club requested more tickets yesterday based on the sales.
Dunt know mate ................. ....... tricky to call anywhere with it being a 1pm kick off, we've had our own bus for last few matches, we are going straight there, 10.30am set off frum tarn
Yep I used to go with them, my mate got on at Royston and I got on at the Magnet. Southampton in cup and stopped off at Towcester on the way, Cambridge in cup and stopped off in Newark on way back, one of the lads got arrested for climbing on a car and jumping on the roof and some of the guys wanted to make something of it with the police whilst the rest of us just said it was his own stupid fault. We had a police escort around the pubs and then 2 police stood outside until we were ready to move onto next one.
RE: Yep I used to go on a few jaunts with them....... I once started drinking 'warm' cider en route to Cambridge (League game) until someone asked "What tha drinking art er piss bottle fo?"
