does anyone know what the position is re: towiing trailers using mopeds on motorway

I have to take a lot of items down to Wembley top watch the super red tykes for the match tomorrow including:

a. match satchel
b. flags
c. Garron
d. snap box
e. inflatables
f. pre match fixable stall
g. flask
h. pet dog, Gary

and not all the items will fit in my cubby box on my moped so if i take a trailer and go on the motorway then will it be OK?

i thought i could drive on the hard shoulder but then i could only go 55mph.

if there are any experts on motorways i would be pleased to hear from you.
