Does anyone think that the England manager should be able to have his squad together

for 3-4 weeks before a big match in order for the players to Gel as a team?

Just because you capitalised Gel and the word has become a bit of popular one regarding BFC so far.

 

I would have though that the LESS time the current manager has with the squad the better

complete and utter rubbish, got the job through being man utds glorified kit man

 

I just think its about time people gave the National side as much time to get to know the tactics

and become a team , not just a group of individuals.
People are always saying how bad the National team manager is doing but never come up with any help for him.

I do believe that there are some on here tthat are guilty of double standards, with regard to giving Barnsley time to gel, but not England. But I was not talking specifically about that.

Fair enough, it was just a thought. In answer to your question, I think that the whole set up in this country is part of the problem with the national side. The important thing in this country is the clubs as they hold all the power through the PL, I get the impression from some of the players that they think this way too. I stopped caring as much about the national side a few years ago myself. When it comes to a tournament one of the big issues with the players is what bonuses they will be getting. It really p*sses me off. No pride for the shirt anymore amongst most of them.
