Does Anyone Think We Can (Or Will) Sell 10,000 Season Tickets As Flicker Hopes?

    Is it possible?

    Will it happen?

How many do you think we'll shift?

It is possible, but I dont think it will happen unfortunately.

Think were gonna shift more than last season, the lads certainly deserve it after the performances towards the back end of last season.

I'm hope hopefull we can push 8,000+

Other teams will look at that 10,000 target and laugh. But who really gives a **** what they think anyway.

    You Reds.

I think we'll sell more, but I don't think we'll sell 10,000 which is shame because what the players have been producing on the field is deserving of higher crowds.

I think there'll be an increase in numbers, but feel it's unlikely to reach that figure this Summer, sadly. However, if we can take the form of this calendar year into the new season, then perhaps the 10 000 target could be achieved with the sale of half season tickets at Christmas time.

Me too. Haven't had a season ticket for 3 years due to Uni.

Will be getting another for next season.

Really hope we can improve attendances (and atmosphere) next season. The support towards the end of the season was fantastic.

10,000 is a hell of a lot of season tickets for any team. Bearing in mind we had about 2,000 prior to promotion to the Premier League, it's unbleievable how far the club has come in season ticket sales. Not sure where you can get a list of season ticket sales per club but I wouldn't mind betting we're well off the bottom in that respect.

I won't be getting a season ticket as even though I'm only 25 I have horrendous circulation and the beginnings of athritis, so I simply can't sit outside in cold weather (the majority of the season). I've considered a half season ticket before, but that's still during the coldest months. It looks like pay on the gate for me.

Will it happen? Not unless we give them away

How many do you think we'll shift? 8'000 at the very most

Its possible but the chances are so remote we may as well say its not possible

    No

a few hundred more than last season - we just might get to 8000 but thats the most I can see for now

based on past experience only if we are still in the playoffs come Easter and the thought that ticket stubs would come in handy if we made the prem will the gates rise significantly above 10K

    Can, yes
    Will, no

The only way we're gonna get substantially bigger gates than last season is if we have a good start to the season and we look like we could be challenging for promotion, which I think is unlikely.

There were only around 6,700 last season I am told, so I can't see another 3,000+ buying one.
I reckon there will be more people like myself though, who will pay on the day now the price has been realistically decreased and the bonkers membership scheme dropped.
I don't know my arse from my elbow with regards to my personal and working life right now so I'm not forking out over 300 quid on the off chance I can make at least half the games.
I've a couple of months to sort my life out though before kick off, so tha never knows.
    .
I think we'll do well to sell 8,000 season tickets, but I can see over a thousand regular pay on the day fans. And that's why I hope we get Leeds or Wednesday at Oakwell to open the season. Big crowd, big win, and perhaps the stayaways may return.
But to finish, I thought the atmosphere under Flicker was as good as ever, with just 7 and 8,000 of us.
    .
    You Reds and what-not.

I think the number of ST sales will go up but I don't think the overall attendances will change much given that it will be mainly people who paid on the day towards the end of last season who go for the season tickets.

What we need is a good first month to try and drive the crowds up, the club should also offer season tickets all year round with a pro-rata discount every time a home game is played. None of this half season ticket b*llocks that just makes people wait or not bother because it doesn't seem as good value for money.

Palace gone up with less than 10k STs.

Went to Oakwell earlier. 2 of about 50 in my area in Ponty renewed to date

    Potentially yes.

A few players resign and we get a couple of noteworthy players added to the squad and I think there will be a rush closer to August.

    Resign or re-sign?

In all seriousness though, If we carry on with the spirit of last season and are consistently getting good results, people should hopefully come flooding back.

Oakwell's a cracking place when theres a few people and a good atmosphere.

No chance but like to be proved wrong. One good half of a season won't make that many get one who don't already. If we prove it over the course of a full season for the first time in years we will probably crack it season after next. Would have helped us if under 5s were allowed and mature students weren't being forced to pay full price thus being discriminated against for not being the stereotypical student age.
