I'm no expert but it's painfully obvious to me that one of the basic principals of any match is that at least one manager is going to change the way his team playa at half time. Misery Guts did it today for Washday after an abysmal first half by anybody's standards and it paid off. It just seems to me that we play "more of the same" and suffer the consequences. Maybe a Warnock or even a Curbishley working as a consultant could show Flicker that part of management. I'm not faulting his passion, leadership or man management but he is still learning about tactics and if he doesn't grasp it soon he (and we) could be in big trouble.
The changed when they went two up top, not at half time, and the players panicked on the pitch. I'm not absolving Flicker from criticism as I have criticised elsewhere. But I think the players on the pitch should have won today and made poor decisions. I can't believe Flicker tells them to drill it COGs head because if he did we would do it all game.
The OP seemed to be suggesting the position would be a mentor type role. We shouldn't need one and if we do there is a big problem.
