Geoffrey Boycott: Yorkshire would beat the England team Geoffrey Boycott has claimed Yorkshire would beat the current England team. England captain Alastair Cook had criticised incoming England and Wales Cricket Board chairman Colin Graves for calling the West Indies "mediocre", saying: "That's a Yorkshireman for you - they're happy to talk a good game." Yorkshireman Boycott accused Cook of thinking he was "untouchable" and later added: "If he attacks us I care." The former Yorkshire and England all-rounder called Cook "disrespectful".
People have said that for a while now. The likes of Michael Vaughan was saying it about 18 months ago. A full strength Yorkshire side of English guys would beat alot of test nations. If we had in our number 1 overseas player Kane Williamson we'd have an even better chance. Graves is right about the Windies.
