Mailing Label Postcard Email: Show G0DOB's email address Hello i live in IMMINGHAM N.EAST LINCS I was born in 1928, in Birdwell,a village,near Barnsley in Yorkshire, the son of a coal miner,who was the local radio(crystl sets)repairer,maker, and watch repaier,..the soldering iron was always hot,(in the fire)... i started work in 1942 down the coal mines till 1949,i wanted to be a bus driver, so i joined the Army,in 1949,and saw the world. but in 1954,i left the army and became a bus driver met the wife mwho was a conductress,on the top deck of a double decker bus.we married in october 1954 in 1968 left Barnsley and came to live here in IMMINGHAM(more hard work)at a chemical factory,also did a bit of part time bus driving (for the beer money) then in 1985 was put on the scrap heap,and took to playing Radio ,got my call sign in 1984, and made many friends around the world, and now with this new mode P,C made more friends, and found a few old friends,on ILINK,ECHO LINK,EQSO,Pal Talk,IPHONE,and MSN,i Just wonder what my dear old DAD would have made of all this!? thanks for reading this 73's and 88's Oh and if ever your near IMMINGHAM,by the River Humber,please drop in,you wil be made welcome Bio last modified: 2004-02-13 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Add/Update biography for G0DOB Does this page contain inappropriate content?
