think about it still early in season and fooballers getting used to hectic schedule, cup game with extra time and pens on tuesday, a game on sat with only 1 days rest before today's game. add that with the fact that its an away game AR prob thought it would be better to put a more disciplined player in midfielder to help the defence. for all you know mcpahil could have been well knackered
