Speak for yourself pal. He's a feckin darn sight better than Oddjob & Mostto. If by some miracle we can pair him with Macken I can confidently say we are safe. It's been a brave move by the club and one I applaud.
Our dog's better than Oddjob and Mostto and anybody paired with Macken is better than owt we've currently got.
"Safe" is a wee bit less than some of us were hoping for.

I can understand the bitterness towards Nads because of the manner of his departure, but who better do you honestly think we could sign in the January transfer window where clubs are reluctant to let anyone decent go & fees are vastly inflated? The outlay is minimal and we know his capabilities. Get behind him, he has plenty to play for and I honestly think we will benefit.
Don't know why fans get so excited, he is lazy, injury prone, greedy, always off side, and most of the time can't be arsed to perform. After nearly a full season either injured or on the bench he performed a minor miracle scoring a few goals when he put himself in the shop window. He knew he wanted to leave Oakwell, and he wanted to go out with a bang. At the time the rumours were rife, Coventry, and most clubs in the Championship. He wanted away, he got his wish and it didn't come off. At the time looking on this board, they were cries of Judas, better off without the ******, greedy twa*t and i hope he breaks his Fecking leg. Now the player who nearly everyone hated is everyones hero. Funny old game football init
mmmm...... his goals took us up. His goals kept us up. I'll take a lazy goal scoring striker anyday of the week. Davey managed to get the best out of him after leaving him on the sidelines for an extended period of time. If we get that for the 2nd half of the season then no one will be moaning.
Last season He didn't play until October as he was out with a broken collar bone. When he did come back he looked very out of condition and in fairness fat. He then made 'cameo' apperances which on the whole were fairly average punctuated with glimmers of the player he can be (Leeds away). At that time I really thought he'd finish his contract with us then leave drift through the lower leagues and then finally out of football. I was wrong, Nads got his act together with the help of a personal trainer and came back looking lean and dare I say for once FIT. The rest is history and whilst it was not a one man show his goals, particularly at Sarfend and at home against Brum, were a major part in keeping us up.
In the summer I thought he'd move on and then I was delighted tohear that he was to resign for us.The QPR move was very disappopinting to say the least but I wasn't angry. Why ? because I wasn't privy to the discussions between Nads, his agent and Shep. The conversation between Nads and his agentCOULD have been ' Dan I know Barnsleyhave offered £2k per week but John Gregory's just been on and has upped his offer to £4k per week'.Nardiello is an employee of the club and like all employees sells his labour to the highest bidder.Unfortunately all this loyalty crap starts (and ends) with me and you, muggins, the fans !!
I've no 'wounded pride' I'm glad to have him back beacause at his best he's miles ahead of any of the other strikers in the goalsdepartment. Also as he's on loan I assume that if he gets 'broke' (as Spartacus suggested) we can send him back.
Dave

Hi Windy, ... what do you think would be a reasonable achievement for the next three seasons taking into account the club's resources ?
A meaningful end to the season.
I.E. pushing for the play-offs (not clinging to a safe spot.)
We were well placed for a shot at the £60m prize a few games ago but the powers that be didn't have the plumbing for it and we spoiled the sheep for a hap'orth of tar.
I'm dusting me metaphor mixer off for the run-in.
