    Figured I'd let people know.

As a left footer who could be very useful as a left winger in a squad that has no balance, I'd have him back. Wasn't the best defensively but pacey, can cross a ball and as for his freekicks, no comment needed.

Thought he was playing in the German third division?

Scum wouldn't even take him last year after he left us, take from that what you will.

Huddersfield also want Kevin Phillips as a player/coach.

RE: Thought he was playing in the German third division?

According to a couple of lads I play poker with, they took him on trial a couple of days ago.

Considering that the German Third Division would probably be a similar standard to that which El Haimour has come from, I'm surprised if Dom has slumped that low. Never convincing defensively but would he do a worse job than our current options on the left hand side of midfield? Bar Devaney/JCR, I don't think so.

Would have liked to see him have the chance to play there for us.

Apart from kicking a football really hard, what was his other strengths??

Although, I would also take him over current options.

    Not saying he's ideal

but he could tackle, got forward and could cross a ball, and is naturally left sided as opposed to a right footed player out of position. Admittedly, he got caught up field too often, but contributed more to the team than El Ham-orrrrr ever will.

I agree he's better than El Hamour. I just think that his free kicks masked many of his shortcomings.

I would have him back. I actually thought his defending was improving slightly. And with the current system with no width in midfield, I think he could get up and down the wing well. If we are looking at not spending any money I think we could do much worse, like not bring anybody in.

I seem to recall Werling was "hopeless" when he first arrived

After seeing him give a handful of performances, many on here were clamouring for him to be shipped out with immediate effect. Presumably you were not one of them...

since he left I think I've seen us take one decent free kick

Leon at preston last season. Since then I'm struggling to think of one that didn't hit the wall or take someones eye out in row Z

I would deffo have him back

Thought he was coming on leaps and bounds, his defending was really improving just before he left, think we played ipswich not long before he left and he looked the complete left back
