only been once. went to the bahia principe punta cana and the hotel was fantastic. miles of great beach.

I would recommend Cuba though - stay in the Cayos and Havana is a must visit.

    Cayo Gullermo is beautiful

Only 4 hotels on the island and the beach ias brilliant white.
I loved Cuba and agree about a trip to Havana, also try a trip to Moron, get off the main street and its just like stepping back 100 years, lovely people and very welcoming.

My favourite place in the Caribbean is Playa Del Carmen in Mexico, just like heaven on earth, I have been 4 times and each time I have found something different to be amazed by.
If you go there I would recommend a trip to Xel-Ha, swimming with all the beautiful fishes and dolphins is fantastic.

Went for my honeymoon in 2006, went to a place called Bayahibe and stayed at the Iberostar Hacienda. Was very nice, rated it highy.

    the melia - loved it

not as grand as some we've stayed in but the grounds were lovely, the beach was fantastic (with the pier) and we had a bridal suite (so not gonna complain about the room).

great base as well for touring as less than an hour from cayo coco airport. better than a bus ride to Havana from Varadero.!

Rio good buddy and spend some quality time with the new bride on Cocabanna and Ipanima beaches. Then an organised evening "partying" and visiting "Rio By night"
