How loud are the planes going into doncaster sometimes. And if they got any lower the floodlights at Oakwell would have to duck.
Just thought i'd share that like

RE: I didnt realise they had to get so low so far away from the airport though I doubt that, in terms of flying, Barnsley is all that far from Donny.
I wouldnt know I think they should come in high and drop low at the last minute just to scare the passengers. It would make flights much more fun when the plane points its nose at the ground
RE: I wouldnt know flew into doncaster last monday from amsterdam. The pilot totally messed up the landing and rather than gliding onto the runway, he basically dropped the plane.... totally **** ourselves
Does it always smell so bad around there? When I went skiing to Italy last month we flew from there. It stank to high heaven approaching the airport. Is there a maggot farm or something nearby?

You ought to try working in Farnborough We are about 200 yards from the airport perimeter fence - you dont know what a low plane looks like
I used to work within the fence Quite near the end of the runway. The week of the airshow and the practice week before it was hard to get any work done. Absolutely deafening.

The best ones are when they bounce They are always good for a laugh The other good one is a last minute abort when all off a sudden you are pinned back to your seat ant the plane soars over the *$$%%ing plane that didnt leave the runway in time adding another 20 mins to your journey
You work in Farnborough What a dump that place is....had the misfortune to spend a week on a course down there at the IBM offices.
