No panic after relegation there are few chairmen who deserve it more than John Ryan without him doubt they would even be in the football league.

Correct , a very good chairman compared to some of the idiots in the championship (not us) some on here 'slate' him , no idea why.

I used to slate him, but to be fair he's ate ample portions of humble pie with dignity.
His claims that they were bigger than this club or that club and they were a sleeping giant, were obviously shot down in flames when they failed to reach anything like 12000 home fans in their first season in the Second tier in 50 odd years. Since then he has made quite a few complimentary comments about our club.

Awful ground, awful fans who are on par with Wednesday fans for arrogance, awful town and a w@nker of a chairman.

A my opinion of course but I'm sure I'm wrong

The keepmoat lacks atmosphere and soul, I'll agree it's not a good ground. Ryan made a huge error in judgement in listening to that agent last season, but I can't agree he's a ****er as such. Making Dave Penney pick him as a player in the conference was self indulging though. Don't really agree about your observation about their fans - mainly because five to ten years ago those fans were Wednesday or Leeds or man utd fans, they all crept out of the woodwork. Even before their relegation to the conference years ago they barely got a couple of thousand at belle vue - so whilst I don't agree about the arrogance I don't hold many rovers fans in particularly high regard.

But what, in comparison to Barnsley, makes Doncaster an 'awful town'? Don't really see it myself. I do live in donny but doesn't make me particularly biased, donny's not a haven and I'm not criticising Barnsley but I don't see what it has over donny.

When Donny were progressing from nowhere I think they received a lot of support from fans of other teams, little old Donny fighting their way up the leagues, as such.

Once they made their way to League One and then the Championship they suddenly became a mini Sheffield Wednesday and thought they were a big club, in turn lost a lot of support and adoration from fellow football fans. That was my view on it anyway.

That's pretty much my take on the situation, though I generally think John Ryan is ok. Just a fan living the dream. I take most of what he says with a pinch of salt as I reckon it's just meant as a bit of banter.

Fekking pikeys..... plus the blunts looking good for promotion means we really do not need to be getting relegated at all.

Agreed..used to like Donny Rovers but the arrogance of their fans once they reached the Championship was unreal. If you think the Sheffield clubs are bad with the whole Dingle/inbred jokes about Barnsley, just wait until the next time we play Doncaster. Last season before their trip to Oakwell, around 90% of the topics on their forum were about what an awful town Barnsley was and how inbred all it's inhabitants are.

Shows how ***** League One is when they're topping it, with David 'weak as piss' Cotterill the league's standout player..

If they do come back up, that's one relegation spot filled next season.

And their supporters are some of the worst I've seen on forums.

I hope both they and the Blunts come up, though. And Wednesday stay up with us. Just so we can once again prove we're better than the lot of em.
